Phelps Stokes Bids Farewell to Africare President

Phelps Stokes President Dr. Badi Foster attended a farewell ceremony for outgoing Africare President Dr. Julius Coles.

Phelps Stokes President Dr. Badi Foster attended the farewell reception for Dr. Julius Coles, who is retiring as the President of Africare.  The event was held on Thursday, December 9 at the Africare House in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Foster was happy to join the festivities, saying that “Julius is an old friend of mine, and I truly appreciate his commitment to serving those least well served in Africa and throughout the African Diaspora.  Phelps Stokes looks forward to working together with Africare under the new leadership of Dr. Darius Mans.”

Prior to attending the farewell ceremony for Dr. Coles, Dr. Foster and Phelps Stokes Board Chair Jonathan Cahn met with Africare Board Chair Frank Fountain to brief him about Phelps Stokes work in Africa and with the African Diaspora through the Afro-Latino Initiative, the Tanzania Education Initiative, and the New Africa Network.
