The Glenncrest MADH and Dreaming Out Loud would like to invite all members of the Glenncrest neighborhood, community volunteers and organizations, to our third Community Garden Meeting.
Every month Phelps Stokes’ Programs for Africa and Freedom Endowment hosts a Palaver Hut, a symposium that creates an environment of productive dialogue on an important issue. This month’s event is entitled, “Women’s Entrepreneurship and International Partnership”. We are extending an invitation to you and hope to see you there. Space is limited, so please RSVP.

The Glenncrest Make a Difference House

(NHA Changes Agents at the Glenncrest Make A Difference House with Youth in the Community)



The Glenncrest Make a Difference House (MADH) is a community-building center within the Glenncrest Community (5062 Kimi Gray Court) of  South East D.C., formerly "East Gate". Phelps Stokes National Homecomers Academy (NHA), in partnership with the A &R Realtors and LifeStarts Youth and Family services, provide a fun and safe learning environment were kids are given opportunities to play and interact with peers, form positive community organizations, become youth ambassadors, and embrace the "voice" of their generation in influencing change in their community. The MADH also hosts neighborhood meetings and activities to which adult residents may attend. Its opperating hours are Mondays through Friday 8am - 8pm, and Saturdays 3 - 9pm.
